This caused me to quit the job as I did no longer feel comfortable in my working gabriola accommodations environment. Lovely and friendly staff however, patronising and obnoxious management. Selfish with hours upon request and pay is extremely terrible for under 18s.

While I was working for the company they used things against you, i.e. your mood then they would reduce the hours for the next week.

There’s been times when I’ve been putting suitcases away and I’ve been told off for being ‘too slow’ whilst going up a wobbly ladder. They expect you to handle tills and put stock back at the other side of the floor at the same time. I was only working there for 3 months but it’s the worst retail job I’ve ever had. One week I would have 5 days next I would have 1 day. During my time here i learnt quite abit on how retail works. The easy part was meeting, greeting and serving customers.
I enjoyed working in sports direct it was fun and enjoyable. I was able to work with friendly people and they helped me a lot when I needed the help. Sometimes it was hard because it was busy at some days but I managed to get used to it and get better each day. The staff were fantastic always supportive and helped me in my first few shifts until I managed to understand the process.
